Final Logo self-assessment

Name of your company, a short paragraph describing what your company manufactures/sells and the target audience for the product.

“Stay fit” My company targets older men and woman about staying fit. Working out and going to the gym whenever you can. When you come to the gym you will step out a new person. This program hopefully will make this world stay healthy and have people meet their goals.

Review the processes that Jacob Cass went through in designing his logo and Logo Design Secrets (and any other links that you found especially helpful). What parts of these processes did you use in your work. Please explain and be specific.
I made sure that I stayed will simple comforting colors that are eye catching. Also made sure it worked in b/w and color. I tried making this a simple logo so when you look at it you know what it is for. All his tips really helped me for my final product.

Overall, what three important concepts have you learned about logo design? Explain why they are important to your future work?
I have learned one that it must be simple, because you don’t want someone second thinking what the logo is about. The second thing that is important is that color, because you do not want something that some will not go to just because of the color. An finally the name must be short and to the point. You want that so you can fit it anywhere or place and have it stand out.

Review the criteria and the process of designing a logo, please rate your final logo design, 1-4 (4 is the highest). Please explain why your work deserves the rating.
I think my logo deserves a three, because It meets all the criteria and is unique itself. I worked very hard to make this the best I think it could be. I took feedback from other students, and changed some things, but in the end I made it my own.

Logo reflection

What significant changes has your logo gone through?
I had two logos that I was choosing through and I picked the more simple one. I also made one in black and white, and one in color. I made the outlines more bold so it would stand out. I also made my people for the word “fit” more simple.

Why did you make these changes?
I made these changes so it was more simple and better eye catching. I took the feedback that people gave me and used it. I made it so it can be made little, big, color, or b/w, and all look good.

How much more work needs to go into the logo? What more do you need to do?
I think my logo is pretty much done. The colors may need to change. Besides that I think my logo is done.

Quarter three self-assesment:

What are you most proud of? What do you think are your strengths?
I am most proud of finishing all my projects and designs on time. I am proud that I have gotten better with working on photo-shop. My strengths are when I draw on paper, because the photo-shop tools are a little harder to work with.

What would you like to do better and/or focus upon for Quarter four?
How will you make this happen?
I would like to work on designs in different ways, not just on the computer. I would like to take more time on each piece, because when I do that the better it is. I will make this happen by getting feedback, and taking time on each piece. I think it will be great to work on paper or design shirts. That would make this class a lot more fun and interesting.

Logo

List and describe (in your own words) the 5 important steps in designing a logo.

While making a logo design making it simple is better. Also a sign that is dealing with a company does not having anything to do with what they it is, like the Mcdonldes does not have a burger for the sign. Also the size is very important. You do not want it to small so people can not read it, but you do want it big so it stands out. The colors of your logo should also go well together, you do not want colors that make you cring. Finally once you have a logo for something and it is already out there, do not change it!
